The City is required by Section 44-264 of the City of Van Alstyne Code of Ordinances to deliver a statement of intent to each utility account holder at least 30 days before the effective date of the proposed change.  The effective date of the new rates must be the first day of a billing period, and the new rates may not apply to service received before the effective date of the new rates.

The effective date of the proposed change is anticipated to be September 15, 2018.  The City Council of the City of Van Alstyne will deliberate the adoption of the proposed rate at an open meeting on September 11, 2018.

Utility Bill insert: August 2018

The City of Van Alstyne is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of real property legally described as OTP VAN ALSTYNE ADDN, Block 4, Lot 18, acres 0.066 more commonly known as 242 East Jefferson Street, Van Alstyne, Texas 75495 (the “Property”).

Bid documents may be obtained in person at Van Alstyne City Hall located at 242 E. Jefferson St. or via the City’s website HERE.

Sealed bids addressed to the City Manager of the City of Van Alstyne, Texas will be accepted no later than 2:00 PM on Monday, August 6, 2018 via hand delivery to:

The Property will be conveyed subject to the exceptions and reservations contained in the Bid Package. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. Bids must be for all of the real property described above and not just for a portion thereof.
