Here is a helpful overview of zoning and our ordinances and fees.
Attend a City Council Meeting
I would like an item to be placed on the City Council agenda.
If you would like to have an item placed on the agenda for discussion and/or action complete the Agenda Request Form and submit to the City Clerk’s office at City Hall no later than noon on the Wednesday prior to the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting. For the form and meeting schedule, visit the City Council page.
I want to address the City Council.
At the beginning of each City Council Meeting, there is a citizen participation time slot. Just sign up in accordance with the procedural rules. More information is on the City Council page. Please note that due to Open Meetings laws, the city council may answer your questions, but cannot take action on items that were not posted on the agenda ahead of time.
You do not need to sign up to speak for or against a Public Hearing item.
When are City Council meetings?
Meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held at the Community Center located at 262 N. Preston Ave at 6:30pm. Check out the calendar.
Also, you may see the agenda before the meetings — here are the agendas.
By the way, another way for residents to get involved is through Boards and Commissions. Check them out as well!
