Senior Center
Our Purpose:
Van Alstyne Senior Center provides opportunities for area Senior Citizens to socialize, enjoy lunch, play games and participate in scheduled activities, Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 2 PM. Everyone 55 and up is eligible to join the Van Alstyne Senior Center. Membership is free – we just need your contact information. Lunch is a $2 donation.
Van Alstyne Senior Center is a satellite of Meals on Wheels Texoma.

Board Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Senior Center.
Drop in any time from 9 AM - 2 PM Monday through Friday.

Note: We usually post the Lunch Menu to the Facebook group a day or so in advance. The menu process at MOWOT is undergoing changes, so their page does not currently display the menus in advance. We hope to be able to offer future menus again soon!

How can I help the Senior Center?
The Van Alstyne Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help us around lunchtime. Volunteers who could volunteer at the Center consistently once a week would help tremendously! We have dishes to do at lunch, floors to clean, tables to clean, and a variety of chores to complete.
To help deliver meals to homebound residents, apply through the main Meals on Wheels Texoma office by calling (903) 786-3351 or toll-free at (877) 900-3351. Or, visit their website. A background check is required.
The Senior Center also needs your financial support.
