Texas State Law (Chapter 176 of the Local Government Code) requires the filing of conflict of interest disclosure statements by certain individuals and businesses.

The law applies to the City of Van Alstyne Council members and Executive Officers, businesses and individuals who contract with the City, businesses and individuals that seek to contract with the City and agents who represent such businesses in their business dealings with the City.
