The City of Van Alstyne Finance Department is responsible for managing the City’s fiscal affairs.  The Department is charged with providing timely and accurate financial information to the City Manager, Mayor, City Council and City Departments. The primary functions administered by the Finance Department include:

  • Cash/Debt Management
  • General Ledger Maintenance
  • Internal Controls
  • Grant Management
  • Budget Preparation and Monitoring
  • Payroll
  • Annual Audit
  • Utility Billing
  • Miscellaneous Accounts Payable/ Receivable
  • Support other city departments in budgetary and financial affairs.
