Van Alstyne Independent School District is a highly-ranked district with one high school, one middle school, and as of 2018, two elementary schools. For the 2018-2019 school year, the brand new Bob and Lola Sanford Elementary school opened, and John and Nelda Partin Elementary School was rededicated after extensive remodeling.
Grayson College is a nationally recognized community college with a campus in Van Alstyne offering technical training, associate degrees, and programs launching students toward four-year university degrees. VAISD’s dual credit programs allow high school students to attend Grayson College and get a head start on earning college credit.
