4A Economic Development Corporation

The Van Alstyne Economic Development Corporation was founded in 1996 as a Non-Profit Corporation, Chartered by the State of Texas. It is a “4A” Corporation under the Development Corporation Act of 1979, which gives cities the ability to use sales tax revenue to fund new and expanded industrial, manufacturing and research and development enterprises in their local communities through EDCs. The EDC has responsibility for our city’s industrial park and rail spur.
