Library Cards

How to Get a Library Card:

You may apply for a library card online and fill out the application in person at the Library. Applications are held for a period of one month and must be completed at the Library.

Click here for our online application.

To complete your library card application, bring a photo ID to the library. If your address is incorrect, also bring a piece of mail sent to your new address, in addition to your ID. If you are unable to meet ID or mail requirements, we have a Provisional Card to access limited library services.

Any resident of Texas may receive a library card at no cost. A picture ID, proof of current address, and a telephone number are required. If you are unable to meet ID or mail requirements, we have a Provisional Card to access limited library services.

Ages 6-17 may receive a card provided the parent or legal guardian has a card and signs the application to take responsibility. If a parent or legal guardian is unable to sign we have a Provisional Card to allow limited access to library services.

Internet Usage:
Public internet computers are available with a current library card or a guest pass. Those with a card can begin a session at any open computer. Guests may visit the Circulation Desk for a Guest Pass. WiFi is also available for your own portable device (use at your own risk).
