Van Alstyne Public Library offers a new resource for learning about the people, places and events of Van Alstyne: Subject indexed and searchable online archives of Van Alstyne Newspapers from 1898 to the present.
Thanks to a grant from the Hancher Foundation, this archive is free to use and is available at https://vanalstyne.advantage-preservation.com/ (link opens in new tab).
The new archive complements our collection of history and genealogy resources. Find links to more online resources on the Selected Resources page.
At the Library, resources include:
- Obituary cards
- Microfilm reader/printer
- One of a kind family histories
- Grayson County History Books
- Van Alstyne History Books
- Local Newspapers
- 4th Grade Essays 1997 – present
… and of course, our knowledgeable staff is here to help you find and use these tools.
Thanks again to the Hancher Foundation for allowing us to share Van Alstyne’s history with people online — throughout Grayson County, Texas and the world.
