TxDOT to Make Frontage Road Repairs

TxDOT has advised, they will be working to backfill and smooth out the edges of the pavement along US 75 frontage roads.  Traffic control will be setup in order to do this work after 8:00am and wrapping up prior to 3:00pm beginning tomorrow, Thursday, September 7, 2023.

From TxDOT:

TxDOT has been able to schedule some time to work on backfilling and smoothing out the edges of the pavement along the US 75 frontage roads where you installed the No Parking Signs.  We will have to set up traffic control in order to do this work.  We will wait until after 8:00 am to allow commuters and school traffic to get through the intersections and should be off the road by 3:00 pm each day.

We plan to work on the west side frontage road starting tomorrow, Thursday, September 7th.  We will place a flagger at the McDonalds driveway and a flagger at the County Line Road intersection and handle this work by temporarily making this a southbound only roadway so we can keep traffic moving.  We will not allow any traffic to head northbound during this operation, and will move southbound traffic temporarily into the northbound lane.  We estimate that this side will take us one day to complete the work.

We will move to the east side frontage road on Friday and will perform that work using flaggers.  The first day we will work between the Jack In Box driveway back towards the exit ramp and will have a flagger on each end to control traffic along with flaggers at all of the driveways in between.  We expect this section to take 1 day to complete.  Next week we will work between the FM 121 intersection and the Jack in the Box driveway and backfill this section and do some other miscellaneous work while we are there.  During this work we will have the signal turned onto flash mode and have flaggers on each side directing traffic.  We expect this portion to only take 1 day as well.

We will try to get the area backfilled and cleaned up as quickly as we can.
